John has been a Certified Athletic Trainer for over 20 years. He is licensed by the State of Vermont and Certified by the National Athletic Trainers Association to provide rehabilitative services to active individuals. He has recently opened a new gym in Essex called “Fit 2 Excel

John has undergraduate and graduate degrees in the areas of Athletic Training, Biomechanics and Exercise Physiology. He has worked at the Olympic Training Center and has since been invited to travel internationally with Olympic teams.

John has worked with Division I athletes in the Athletic Medicine Department at the University of Vermont for 12 years, and has been affiliated with the Boston Bruins and New York Rangers hockey teams.

As a Strength and Conditioning Coach, certified by the National Strength and Conditioning Association, John uses this knowledge and experience to provide performance enhancement training during and after injury and rehabilitation.

Jorie is in her 3rd year with the MMU Athletic Training crew. She spent 1 year at Castleton, where she played club Field Hockey; and 3 years at UVM graduating with a BS in Athletic Training. She has worked with UVM athletes and high school athletes during that time.

Jorie played high school field hockey, ice hockey, and rugby locally in VT. She enjoys being outside, playing hockey, and hiking.

Jorie has worked at Northwestern Medical Center, as well as, serving as an ATC at BFA St. Albans. Currently, Jorie works with John Stawinski at "Fit 2 Excel"; treating patients and helping with strength and conditioning classes.
